The Night of CineMusic is an evening full of film, music, and history. Film journalist and presenter René Mioch is the connecting factor between film music, the orchestra, and the audience this evening. You will learn more about the working methods and intentions of composers such as Hans Zimmer, John Williams, and Ennio Morricone, after which you can immerse yourself in their melodies.
During The Night of CineMusic, the CineMusic film orchestra, together with the choir of the same name, will perform special arrangements from twenty films. Think of the most beautiful pieces from Harry Potter, The Good, the Bad & the Ugly, The Dark Knight, Amélie, and Schindler’s List. While the orchestra plays, carefully chosen film scenes are shown that tell the story of the film. These scenes run synchronously with the music, which ensures an intense experience of each film.
During the concert on September 12, the legendary Rembrandt Award will also be presented by René Mioch to an icon from the film world. Who that is will be announced later.
